A what? A postcard?
I can't remember the last time I recieved one. Perhaps it's been 10 years, maybe more...?
Postcards used to occupy a coveted spot in our household, collected and shown off with excitement and stories of far-off places. I'll try to stop myself from getting sappy and lamenting the lost art of paper correspondence, because I will just implicate myself. Writing real letters is hard, but receiving them is a delight.
Thank you Sloba & Marijana. And as the postcard says: "We're counting the days until we can share a plate of 'cevapi' in Sarajevo with you!"
This summer, while in Belgrade, I hope to get my hands on my aunt's postcard collection from the 60s, sent by a great (great) uncle, an adventurer and family legend.
