ground than you even thought possible. My recos are: a dress that can go from day
to night, a tough & practical jacket, a large-ish bag, shoes with a wedge heel and cool

What to pack: The easy life—Maui

Perhaps all you need to have a good time in Maui is a bathing suit & a sunny disposition.
The North shore, where we spent most of our time, is famous for it’s surfing beaches and
thus wind, so bring a scarf or light jacket for evenings and hair clips for keeping hair out
of your face (makes for better pictures). If you plan on climbing up to Haleakala volcano,
I’d recommend a parka (not kidding! it’s around zero degrees).

within reach of the beach and a fruity cocktail at all times. A light skirt that
responds to even the smallest of breezes keeps you cool, and it’s easy to move in—
for those impromptu ping-pong tournaments. But if you plan on venturing into the
rain forests (you should!) breathable, waterproof shoes and rainwear are a good idea.
