Packing for Mexico
Oh boy, I’m feeling like a lucky girl, packing a few things for a Mexico getaway with my mama.
We’ve rented an eco beach cabana near Tulum (Mayan Riviera) and hope to fill our week with long swims, beach reads & cervezas, hikes & yoga…
Here’s my list of must packs:
- As few clothes as possible (mainly sun dresses)
- Colourful scarves
- Neutral bathing suit bottom & various tops
- iPad (for Facetiming!)
- Books of short stories (one Canadian, one Mexican)
- New-ish Aerosole walking sandals (trying to quit flip flops, let’s see how I do)
- Yoga clothes
- The perfect canvas beach bag from here
- Toiletries (the earth friendly kind), like:
Avalon Organics shampoo & conditioner; Burt’s tinted lip balm; Off Botanicals insect repellant; Burt’s Bees body lotion; Aubrey Natural sunscreen; SssstingStop Insect Gel; plus a bottle opener I snagged in Hawaii & a flash light (a solar powered beach hotel may require some diy light) - Trusted jean jacket
- Small cooler for the beach
- Comfy runners, Keds (only two pairs of shoes, high five!)
- No, she is not coming.
Oops! Forgot my ‘serious business’ camera (Nikon D5100, Nikkor 18-200 lens), it’s coming too, so I hope to have some beauties to share with you when I get back. Adiooooos!
