i L O V E your website, especially all of your TRIP NOTES + INFO. Any idea when you’ll post some for Holland? I’m headed there in the fall + would delight in having your recommendations.
Hey Sarah, thanks for visiting! Holland was so relaxing and the fall seems like the perfect time to visit (we were there during an unseasonably warm spring, the beaches in the Hague were packed, like in the mediterranean! I was completely surprised). I’ll get to the INFO post in a week or two, I can send you a quick note when it’s up.
Thanks so much, Una! I haven’t done a spot of research, so any/all the info you provide is so welcome. I cannot explain how giddy I am to visit the Netherlands!
Sarah, the trip notes are finally up. It took a little longer than I thought.
There’s a post about what to bring back too.
Enjoy your trip in the fall!
I found a link to this website on the Thorn Tree forum. I really like it and it seems like you really enjoyed my home country Holland.
Definitely come back some day to visit the Efteling park. It’s a great day out for both kids and adults And if you liked the old windmills, I can recommend visiting Kinderdijk. This UNESCO world heritage site is the largest concentration of windmills in our country. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinderdijk
I’m going to spend some more time reading your other posts now.
I'm Una and this is Let's Get Lost, a visually driven travel blog of recommendations and art to inspire and accompany my wanderings, and hopefully yours. One part travel journal, one part collection of musings and curiosities—from a Toronto-based art director. For all the planning in the world, sometimes the best part is getting lost.
If you'd like to support this blog or reach it's readers, get in touch via the 'About Me' page. I will be opening up a few prominent visual spots in the sidebar to select sponsors. Rate sheet available upon request.
